We’ve been watching the news carefully about the impending arrival of Tropical Storm Harvey, which appears to be heading right for us and may well be a category 1 hurricane when it makes landfall at Corpus Christi. The winds are a concern, but the potential flooding due to the slow speed of this storm is the real danger.
Accordingly, we’re taking the following precautions to protect our staff and members:
1. Landshark will close today at 5pm, unless the weather makes it necessary to close earlier. But we’re planning on 5pm.
2. Landshark will remain closed during the time when the storm will be pounding the coast and during the inevitable cleanup period. We plan to open Tuesday morning at our regular hours.
We don’t like closing Landshark. It’s inconvenient to our members and is never good for business. But we feel this is an extraordinary situation. The safety of our staff and membership is our priority.
You can get the latest storm-related information about Landshark at our website and Facebook page.
